The Francophile Natural Sweet is a sweet wine, produced exclusively from Chenin Blanc grapes, grown in a secret location, somewhere between Paarl and Franschhoek.
The inspiration for the title comes from the fact that Rick is a natural born Francophile and this wine reminds him of some of the luscious sweet wines produced in and around the Layon and Aubance appellations of the Loire Valley.
The wine comes from Glen Carlou and produced as a one-off release. Harvested in March 2018, it was committed to bottle on the 11th June the same year, enjoying an impressive 42 months in bottle before it was finally liberated.
