Mourvèdre
Occasionally, something unexpected happens… On his visit to the beautiful De Morgenzon estate in October 2024, Rick was presented with a sample of 2023 vintage Mourvèdre which was looking for a home. Now, it must be said that our Cape Crusader is not usually a fan of this grape as a mono-cépage but, in this instance, it really worked.

Chenin Blanc
A wine commissioned by Rick from a fantastic resource of old bush vine Chenin, rather than liberating an existing parcel. It’s intended to be sustainable and repeatable; to be enjoyed copiously in the knowledge that it is not subject to the finite quantities imposed by The Liberator Episodes or Special Editions.
