Rick was never a punk rocker. More a hippy. The rebellion of the late 1970s rather passed him by, although he has a retrospective respect for the vagabonds of that era.
It seemed appropriate when Rick unearthed this parcel of mature Petit Verdot, he should direct it to the wine trade’s 21st century answer to Johnny and Sid:
Colin ‘Rotten’ Thorne and Freddie ‘Vicious’ Cobb.
